Line Magnetic Mini 218 Integrated Amplifier
Mini 218
  • 2 x EL84 / 2 x 12AX7
  • 3 wpc Single Ended Class A
  • Headphone output
  • One input
  • 4 and 8 ohm output taps
  • Tube cage included

211 IA

  • 4 x EL34 / 2 x 12AX7 / 2 x 12AU7
  • 15 wpc triode / 22 wpc ultra linear (switchable on the fly)
  • Adjustable bias with built in meter
  • Remote control volume with mute button
  • Tube cage included

The 211IA (and 216IA listed below) really sing. The Ultra Linear / Triode switch is useful for hip hop and electronica, but most types of music sound better in Triode mode. While press has been limited on these amplifiers, the word is getting out in the forums. They offer a big bang for the buck.

Line Magnetic 216IA Integrated Amplifier

216 IA

  • 4 x KT88 / 2 x 12BH7 / 2 x 12AX7
  • 22 wpc triode / 34 wpc ultra linear (switchable on the fly)
  • Adjustable bias with built in meter
  • Remote control volume with mute button
  • Tube cage included

The 216 IA (and 211 IA listed above) really sing. The Ultra Linear / Triode switch is useful for hip hop and electronica, but most types of music sound better in Triode mode. The 216 does offer a little more power, but the differences are typical for what to expect between an EL34 and KT88 tube. While press has been limited on these amplifiers, the word is getting out in the forums. They offer a big bang for the buck.

All I can say is, even cold this amp transformed my music experience. Too busy listening to give an in depth comment, this is incredible.

2nd Post:
The sound of the amp is beyond my expectations. I was worried that the deVore Orangutan's may have spoiled me during the demo, but my Dahlquist DQM 9 monitor speakers actually kick some serious butt, and they rose to the occasion with the introduction of the LM amp. I've never heard such solidity, precision, resolution and body in my system. It was true to recordings - on good ones, people stepped out of the fog and seemed real. On not so good ones, people still sounded enticing, just the realism isnt there. This was important to me, a lot of music doesn't have the benefit of a superior recording, and I'm not in the business of listening to recordings anyhow (not in the business at all actually!) This is some of the best sound I've ever heard, period!

Really enjoying this fantastic amp! It is so true to recordings. Its funny, a lot of bias exists about tubes (no pun intended), being overly warm, perhaps polite, maybe sloppy in the bass etc...I find none of this to be true with the LM 216. It's sound is always inviting into the world of the recording. Body, weight, resolution, air, what have you - they all just shine through with an organic lively quality that is more transparent and neutral than most amps I've heard period. Music of all kinds and recordings of all qualities are excellent, among the best I've heard even against some pretty expensive stuff. And the bass is deep, defined, and felt.

  • 22 wpc Single Ended
  • many options for driver tube choice

The options for driver tubes are a big plus. It seems a lot of people (us included) are using the Gold Lion 12AX7 and KT77 tubes. This is a substantially better amplifier than the 211 and 216.

The 219 IA is a mind-bender of an amplifier. Power, finesse, bass response, inner resolution, clean treble...this amp does it all, really well. We love it.

Gold Series Integrated Amplifiers
The Gold Series is a more sophisticated design than the Silver Series. Many of these models are tube rectified and the driver stages are much beefier.
